Short Personal Description:
Kenyon Scheurman joined the Rocky Mountain High School Music Department Staff in 2013. Prior to working at Rocky, Mr. Scheurman was the band director at Boltz Middle School in Fort Collins for six years. Kenyon completed his degree in music education from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire. During the fall of 2005, Mr. Scheurman participated in a National Student Exchange program to the University of Northern Colorado where he played in several UNC ensembles. Mr. Scheurman also completed a Master of Music Education degree from the American Band College of Central Washington University in the Summer of 2018. Kenyon performs regularly on trombone with the Exquisite Brass Quintet and the Fort Collins Wind Symphony. Previous positions include principal trombone with the Chippewa Valley Symphony in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and second trombone with the Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra. He has performed in Spain, France, New York, Oregon, Colorado, and throughout the Midwest. Kenyon lives in Fort Collins with his wife Johanna and enjoys being outdoors when he is not involved with music.
